The District has rolled out the Electronic Time Verification Record online. That means that employees will be able to complete their timesheets (classified/non-exempt employees, Instructional employees, School Psychologists, and hourly employees) online through myOCPS or on their mobile devices. In addition, managers will also be able to approve timesheets online. This is similar to the paper timesheet, just an electronic version within myOCPS.
Initially, the first phase included select classified and administrative employees (approval only) in Payroll Services, Risk Management, Workers Compensation, and the Office of Retirement Services. This began the week of August 14, 2020. The next phase started on October 14, 2020, and included instructional employees and their supervisors at Edgewater High School and Sunridge Middle School.
The success of this project, and the unfortunate circumstances of the global pandemic has employees embracing the online processes and encouraging a more sanitary way of doing business. As a result, effective January 28, 2021, all Instructional employees and School Psychologists have access to their timesheet online to certify full or half day attendance on each day. This process complies with the "check in and out upon arrival and departure from their worksite" language that currently exists in Article XIV Duty Day, section F of the Classroom Teachers Association contract.
New functionality is available as of February 1, 2022, and it impacts employees that have extra hourly assignments. These are hourly positions that are a different pay rate than the primary job (Examples: Tutoring, Facilities Use, Curriculum Activities, Saturday School, etc.). These extra hourly assignments entries require start and end times.
If you experience technical issues that need to be corrected, please go to ocps apps and create a ticket by clicking on "MyOCPS". In the "Description" field type Electronic Time Verification Record so those issues can be properly routed and tracked. In the "What do you need help with today?" field select Employee Self-Service.
