Funds will be distributed to eligible teachers via ACH direct deposit. Program agreements must be completed at the time of distribution.

All certified full-time or job-share teachers employed on or before September 1 whose job responsibility is the classroom instruction of students in Prekindergarten through grade 12, and full-time media specialists and certified school counselors who serve students in Prekindergarten through grade 12 will receive Florida Teachers Classroom Supply Assistance. This does not include VPK teachers or resource teachers. The official job title listed in the SAP system is used to determine eligibility.

2024-2025 Florida Teachers Classroom Supply Assistance Program ACH Direct Deposit Agreement must be signed by all ACH direct deposit recipients.

Funds will be provided to teachers determined eligible as of September 1, 2024. Eligible teachers can expect to see the deposit beginning July 24 through July 30, 2024. A second ACH direct deposit will occur by September 30th to capture eligible teachers that are not included in the first round.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Each school is to keep the letters on file at the school. Do NOT send any documentation to the RBELC.

     

  • If an eligible titled teacher is not in SAP as of September 1st, they will NOT be eligible to receive the Florida Teachers Classroom Supply Assistance funds.

  • Each classroom teacher must sign the Florida Teachers Classroom Supply Assistance Program Agreement at the time they receive the funds. Teachers must keep receipts to show that funds expended meet the requirements of this section. Those receipts are to be turned into the school no later than the end of the regular school year. The receipts should then be attached to the signed teacher agreement and kept on file at the school. At the end of the school year, any unused funds will be returned to the district school board and shall be deposited into the school advisory council account of the school at which the classroom teacher was employed when that teacher received the funds.   

  • Florida Statute 1012.71 (2)

    Classroom teachers shall use the funds to purchase, on behalf of the school district or charter school, classroom materials and supplies for the public school students assigned to them and may not be used to purchase equipment. The funds appropriated shall be used to supplement the materials and supplies otherwise available to classroom teachers. 

  • Florida Statute 1012.71 (1) defines who is eligible:  

    For purposes of the Florida Teachers Classroom Supply Assistance Program, the term "classroom teacher" means a certified teacher employed by a public school district or a public charter school in that district on or before September 1 of each year whose full-time or job-share responsibility is the classroom instruction of students in prekindergarten through grade 12, including full-time media specialists and certified school counselors serving students in prekindergarten through grade 12, who are funded through the Florida Education Finance Program. A "job-share" classroom teacher is one of two teachers whose combined full-time equivalent employment for the same teaching assignment equals one full-time classroom teacher.

    What does this mean?

    This means that any VPK Teacher, half-time teachers, and Resource Teachers are NOT eligible.
